Happy Friday!
Ricky's first hike
Friday, September 6, 2013
Today we took Ricky on his first hike, I was so nervous to take him. I love hiking but I haven't done it since before I was pregnant. We put him in the baby ergo and made our way up, we picked the later part of the say because we knew it would be cooler. I made sure I put Ricky in a very thin onesie so he wouldn't feel his daddy's sweat too much and I made sure we covered him. When we made it halfway we took him out so he could get a little air and look at the sights. Once we made it to the top we let him hang out for a good 30 minutes and he was loving it. He fused a little on the way down but he just ended up falling asleep and in all it was a good experience.

This is what happens
when we have 4 days off in a row. We go nuts and paint, stay at hotels, have

just a little cheat meal. (yes I did it! I cheated on my Paleo diet) but hey it
was delicious!

In his rash guard before the pool
Sunday champagne brunch
great friends and good food
first time in the pool with Ricky
Four months
Tuesday, September 3, 2013
Ricky is four months
old today. It seems like just yesterday I was still pregnant with this kiddo.
Stats: 17lbs, 23in
Least Favorite
Activity: Napping, it’s a struggle and riding in the car seat.Favorite
Activity:
Munching on banana pieces and being carried in the Ergo.
My proudest moment: He
went in the pool for the first time and he loved it, he was just chilling out
trying to drink all the water.
Not so proud moment: We went out to get dinner and he spit up all over the table, I mean like serious spit up. I think we grossed some people out.
Nicknames: Ricky bear,
stinky bear, munchkin.
Paleo (week 4) halfway there!
Sunday, September 1, 2013
This post has been a
long time coming but it has just been super busy this week. Between painting
the living room and dinning room, baby, and work (phew) it’s been busy. This
week we found two new paleo recipes that we loved, in those rare occasions when
I actually attempt to make the food I pin on Pinterest (and it turns out well).
This week is also the halfway point in the diet so that means I finally weighed
myself (yikes). So far folks I am 146lbs my pre pregnancy weight was 142lbs…so
I am almost there!!!!
you can skip the cheese to make it paleo.
Oh by the way I totally
had a cheat this week, but it was so worth it! People fall is here and we all
know that because (drum roll please) pumpkin spice lattes are back!
